Our Team

SEED was founded by members of the team that delivered the Bertschi Living Science Classroom, an elementary school science building in Seattle that was the first project built to Living Building Challenge Version 2.0 standards, and certified as the fourth Living Building in the world in May 2013. After three years and three classrooms in use, Stacy Smedley has stayed on to continue SEED Collaborative operations and pursue opportunities for further partnerships and SEEDclassroom installations. Other partners were integral to getting SEED started and the classrooms currently in place, and we wish them the best of luck in their current endeavors!
